1. Interviewing clients for a company and choosing the best people to be employed.
2. Finding jobs for people

Let me know the name of the job or any businesses that do one of these things.
Thanks heaps icon smile Q&A: Career advice: What kind of job allows me to interview clients for employment in a business?

mode-1
for ex.. If you want to be someone who has a trust from the certain type of company "lets say you are the head of the human resources in x company and you r reviewing the resumes and picking up people for the x" you can interview people for their jobs..

mode-2
you can also be a job agent to find jobs for people.. But overall these two things won't help the economy, "or eventually, anyone else" cause you won't create anything "you won't produce anything".. and your roll won't be significant enough even if you hire 100 people a day..

mode-3
therefore to follow your incentives and have productive result you can jump to another mode and create a job for yourself "start your firm, organization .. etc.." in that mode of acting you will be hiring people and interviewing them for your own business..

3rd one is the best mode but one would need a huge emotional motivation to complete that "besides being nice and helpful which is not a true motivation" ... and something like an idea that really occupies ones mind from teenage years..

Q&A: Where can I get career advice from?

Question by Kate: Where can I get career advice from?
I'm in uk and most of the places like pertemps don't help. Where can I get career advice. I have left uni.

Best answer:

Answer by octogen
You do not give information about the subject matter. What you were studying. The best place in the UK is either your uni adviser if you can go back there for information,or they have officers at the Job centres especially trained for that purpose. You can arrange a personal interview at most of them, and you will find them a great help.
I wish you good luck in your search.

Can you please give me some career advice?

Question by Krazy: Can you please give me some career advice?
I'm 18 years old and living in India. I have an interest in electronics (especially cell phones). I don't know anything about programming or developing applications for cell phones however. i'm currently doing engineering. I want some advice on which would be the ideal career for me. one that is related in some manner to cell phones or electronics and that will also provide a good pay. please advice.

Best answer:

Answer by Daniel L
Find a professor who can serve as a mentor. However, their industry knowledge is limited since they are teaching and not actually working in the industry.

Until you are certain, I suggest you keep studying engineering. In the meantime, learn how to program. Go find and talk with people who are working on cell phone applications. Don't be shy.

In general, people in India tend to be extremely focussed in their careers. So, it is very important that you find something you enjoy and also something that will be around for the next 50 years.

Career Advice: How’re You Doing On Your Job?

Career Advice: How're You Doing On Your Job?

Career Advice: How Are You Doing On Your Job?

How are you doing on your career path? Far too many individuals have to reply: "I don't really know; okay I guess."

Career success requires answers.Answers are not available when employers don't have feedback systems; many who do, don't use them effectively. The result: a huge problem for employers as well as employees.

Common sense says every organization ought to have in place an organized system for evaluating employees and letting them know where they stand on their career path.

How can people build their strengths and correct their shortcomings if they don't know what they are? How can they do their best work if they don't understand what is expected of them?

Five Career Tips For Effective Feedback

An effective feedback system includes these five points:

1. The manager and the employee discuss and agree on specific duties and expectations (i.e., goals).

2. Both parties agree on how achievements will be measured and rewarded. This step includes an understanding as to when and how the measurements will be taken.

3.The manager provides mid-course checkups and corrections on a regular basis.

4. At the end of a predetermined period, performance is appraised against the agreed-upon standards of measurements. Both positive and negative results are discussed candidly.

5. Career rewards are given according to achievements of agreed upon goals. If there are problems with performance, the employee should be advised of improvements that must be made, within a given time frame, along with an explanation of what will happen if corrections are not made.

Put the results of this five-step process in writing.

Career Tip: Performance Feedback Is Not An Easy Process

There is nothing easy about this process. However, if executed properly, it doesn't have to be painful. In fact, it can be a time of renewal and improvement.

This all makes common sense, doesn't it?

Then, why don't more companies have evaluation systems in place? Why don't those who have them do a better job executing them?

First, strange as it may seem, managers often don't have a clear enough picture of their employees' duties, or how they will be gauged, to put them in writing.

Frequently, managers don't take the time to evaluate their employees and help them when they drift off course. Instead. They wait until it is crisis time.

Career Tip: Praise and Constructive Criticism

An effective system for evaluating performance includes both praise and constructive criticism presented in an even-handed manner.

Achievements should be rewarded according to set standards. However, it is a mistake to reward incompetence. When employees receive awards, even after failing to reach their goals, the system begins to fall apart and failure becomes acceptable.

If an employee is fouling up, he should be told. It is unfair and unwise for the manager to ignore the small mistakes until a major one occurs and a major confrontation takes place.

Career Tip: Ask For Regular Appraisals

What should you do if your employer doesn't have a stated evaluation system or has one and lets it languish?

Screw up your courage and act.

If you are in a position to do so, take a lead in instituting an appraisal system. If you can't do that, at least suggest to your boss that the organization would be better off if it had a system for evaluating and rewarding all of its employees.

Even if there's not a system for all employees, ask your boss for an individual performance appraisal... pluses and minuses.

Tell the boss you want to learn and grow. Explain that the only way you can advance toward your career goals is to know what you are doing right and wrong and receive career coaching accordingly.

If your boss has his wits about him and is at all interested in his own career, he will recognize that you are exhibiting strength and ambition, not weakness, when you speak up on this vital issue. He will appreciate that you are trying to learn more, do more and earn more.

Career Advice for IT

The big news in the IT sector is that there is actually a skills shortage of graduates who want to go into the purely technical jobs within of the industry with more graduates preferring the go into client facing roles. This means that companies are struggling to fill vacancies. No matter what sort of career you're looking for within the IT industry employers will expect someone with a good grounding in technical skills. Employers are also keen to see that candidates have gone out of their way to gain experience in the form of work placements, work experience or internships. Good companies to keep an eye on are the larger more general organisations. These organisations will have a wider variety of vacancies as theyll be developing products and technologies for a number of different areas. The more specialist technology companies such as software firms are recruiting less as they experience a lower demand for their products. When applying for roles you need to apply for the roles your suitable for, so you can focus your search and make the most of your time and efforts. Understand where your strengths are and build your CV around them. You should also try and highlight the modules you've covered as part of your degree, for example if you want to be a java developer show all the java modules you've done so that you can show you have the relevant experience and knowledge.

Try a temp agency like Apple One or something similar. Usually, they have you make one, turn it into them so they can review it before they submit them to businesses who are in need of temps.
