Something that is a part of all job interviews are the dreaded interview questions. These do not have to be feared, however. If you are fully prepared when you go in for your interview, they can throw any question at you that they want and you will be able to answer it with flying colors. That’s why you are given access in many places to just what these questions may consist of.

Basically, they are pretty much just common sense questions that have common sense answers. People are afraid of these questions because they think there is a right and wrong way to answer them. That may be true of some interview questions, but certainly not all of them. The ones that you need to answer a certain way are the ones you can prepare for ahead of time.
One of the most important questions you will be asked in the interview is “Why should we hire you?” This is one you will want to practice an answer for. Target the job you’re applying for and what its job description is. Then fit your personal education, training, and experience into the answer. They need to be assured that you are the one candidate for this job who has everything they need. This is your chance to convince them that you are the one and only person for this job.

Interview questions are not really meant to terrorize you. They are used to help the interviewer get to know you as a person and find out what your values are. Some questions will consist of things such as how honest you are.  These are necessary to see if you are trustworthy. Other questions address your personal achievements and which ones mean the most to you.

A tricky question that you will always face in any job interview relates to why you left your previous job, if you were employed before. You need to have an answer prepared for this one. It needs to be a convincing one, too.  Of all the interview questions, this can be the most feared and most important. It can make or break you depending on how your answer comes across. If you left your previous job on good terms, there isn’t a problem. However, if you left due to your boss asking you to leave because you can’t be at work on time, then you may have a problem.

Whatever the questions, just be prepared with a good answer and you won’t have anything to worry about.
