Absolutely not! It shows interest in your job and your future. You would be showing her you have plans to be with the company and you want to advance and you are looking at her for advice. She will be very impressed. It is a good way to stand out.
References :
No. It's actually a brilliant idea.

Having worked around successful managers for a while, I know that they feel a certain affinity wiith employees down the ladder who genuinely want to be successful and are not afraid of asking them what "secrets" there are to success.

It shows a desire to learn, confidence and ambition - and you'll need those if you're to be successful.

In any case, ask away, stay away from personal questions (what size shoes do you wear etc etc) and never brown-nose / kiss-a** - your President will see right through you and you'll be history.
References :
Tell her you admire her for the way she has developed her own career and you would be very grateful if she would consider being a mentor for you at work. If she has a very busy schedule ask if she could recommend somebody else in the company
