Physical Therapy Jobs
Physical therapy jobs are wonderful career options, and promise both excellent remuneration and exceptional job satisfaction. These jobs are very much in demand in the United States and at present, there are a number of vacancies for candidates who are willing to take up the challenges of working in this field.
Physical therapy jobs involve conceiving and implementing treatment modalities that will help improve patient mobility and avoid any permanent disability. Physical therapists are aided by physical therapist assistants or aides in their job. When opting for a physical therapy job, a variety of choices exists as to which settings you’d like to practice in. You can work as a therapist, an assistant or an aide in clinics, private offices, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, schools, or nursing homes. As per your preference, you can choose permanent (direct) or temporary (traveling) physical therapy jobs on a part time or full time basis.
To get a physical therapist job, you must possess a graduate degree or master’s degree from an accredited physical therapy program, and a state-issued license. At the same time, therapist assistants must possess on-the-job training or an associate’s degree.
There are numerous recruitment agencies, offering many choices and resources to professionals looking out for jobs in this field. These agencies help jobseekers find the perfect jobs.
Payments for physical therapy positions are high, and most companies provide comprehensive benefits packages including:
• Medical and dental insurance
• 401(k) retirement savings plan
• Paid housing
• Completion bonuses
• Travel expenses
• Healthcare insurance
• Section 125 cafeteria plan
• Professional liability insurance
• Short-term disability insurance
• Additional state license
• Continuing education programs

Please be very cautious with job sites as some ads may be bogus. A young woman was applying for a ‘nanny’ position from craigslist and was tragically found dead in her car trunk. A 19 year old male was arrested in connection.
Perhaps the sunday classified ads (though not on holiday weekends such as this past Easter) has some vacancies as well as local nursing homes, hospitals and outpatient therapy offices and such and perhaps even considering per diem (substitute) work until something might open up for a full-time job may be a good idea.

I’m not sure where you are located, but here in OK and AR, just about everyplace is hiring. If you are licensed, you’re likely getting at least 1-2 recruitment cards in the mail each day. I would call around to the local hospitals, nursing homes, therapy clinics, and home health agencies. People there should be able to point you in the right direction!
