These TIPS MAN
I’m 17 years old I have a big deep voice and I’m would like to get into the voice over buisness where can I go or begin so I can be taken seriously?
Thank you for your video. I’ve been putting this off for decades. Now’s the time. Gratsi. Ciao!
Thank you so much for posting this informative video. I’ve been interested in voice over acting for a while, but without any background it’s been extremely helpful to find advice like this as a starting ground. The resources you’ve posted are also helpful, I may do a little more research and then call the evaluation line you mentioned! Thanks again!
@th3bff So you’re just going to ignore what I said, aren’t you. Why are you even watching this video if all you’re doing is posting rude comments. Go watch Manners for Humans.
this guy talks like myke tyson
I have been asking for Techniques and class work for years and then BAMM here we are. Thanks ..
If you are going to comment, please leave positive comments. Thank you.
All other comments are unnecessary and impolite.
Thank you Dan, you really created something of value here to the beginning voice over talent out there. So many voice over professionals are afraid to put out any information they might not get paid for- to them this video would probably have a $50 price tag at least.
Thumbs up! Thank you for sharing :0) Very helpful tips
Excellent detailed information. Thank you for sharing your experiences.
@apacheslim The only surefire way I know of is to speak in a low voice as much as you can. The downside here is that you’ll cause permanent damage to your larynx. A famous example of this is Michael Dorn – he spent so long forcing his voice lower to play Worf, that it’s damaged his throat and lowered his natural tone by 2 whole octaves.
This is awesome to me, someone first considering VO after 20 years talking on the phone for a living, on two levels: One, the wealth of excellent advice in under 10 min. from an obviously seasoned veteran pro, delivered in an easy-to-understand, CONVERSATIONAL manner; and two, it’s very encouraging–and this is meant with all due respect–that a person can succeed in this field despite having a vocal defect such as a pronounced lisp, if they have aptitude and perseverance. Well done, sir.
I can do the Movie guy voice and many others voices and would like to make a lot f money of my talent. Where do I start?
@MangoliPresents AT&T’s one is excellent research.att.com/~ttsweb/tts/demo.php and to get more, don’t type “voice generator” but type “text to speech”
Funny that he has a speech problem and teaches about voice over…I don’t agree on the part of “being yourself.” Because there’s ome ACTING involved! Check out my voice over on my channel! (Knights Of The Old Republic) I normally don’t speak like that! I’m voice-ACTING on those videos…
I’m GETTING INTO MY CAR NOW.
@MangoliPresents google “atnt voice” and click the first hit. it’s really good.
@suchavoice1
Do you know how I can deepen my voice? preferrably to sound like steve downes from halo
this was a brilliantly made video, thank you so much for this (:
Best ten minutes I ever spent on YouTube!
I’m always puzzled when I hear a voice-over guy who lisps.
Thanks Dan your tutorial is fantastic, human, communicative!
@MangoliPresents ivona – just google it, that’s the best text to speech in existence, and you can do samples on their page. then you can actually record them on your computer, you don’t have to actually buy it
